"Lackluster" - Now Magazine

This was a semi improvised noise set that was used to do a live score of a video collage made by our friend Douglas Nayler. This was recorded at The SPK Beverly Hall in Toronto May 17th 2013. We practiced once and came up with the paths each of the Acts would take and the chord progressions, the rest was improvised during the show. The acts were broken up by TV commercials from the late 80's/early 90's, those have been removed from this for contextual reasons, otherwise this was one continual piece.

This was recorded mostly from the board with an additional Room Mic and overhead mics for the drums. This has been compressed and manipulated to give the perception of being in a large gymnasium with amps turned up as loud as they can go. This was to try to capture the feeling of being at this event.
